Melinda Gates says the modern workplace is stuck in the past and failing its workers.
The wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates made her first post on LinkedIn as an Influencer after just joining the network last month.
In her post, the Gates takes companies to task for policies that are either outdated or less than stellar for employees. Gates even speaks of the fact that many companies require more work hours from their employees, with workers putting in nearly 50 hours on the job each week. Couple that with a never-ending connection to technology in the workplace via email, smartphones and other mobile devices, employees are shifting into a manner of expectation that keeps them ‘always connected’ to the workplace.
Simply put – Gates feels companies are failing their workers.
