Houston Halloween

You’re eyeing your calendar trying to squeeze in as many spooktacular events as you can before October slips away. All around town, you’ll find plenty of fun-filled Halloween activities geared at all ages. Check out some of the city’s most celebrated events to make sure you and your family have a howling good time.

Zoo Boo

Open on weekends until October 29, visit the Houston Zoo this October to enjoy Zoo Boo. Dress up in your scariest costume to trick-or-treat, paint pumpkins, play carnival games an learn about bats.

Scream on the Green (October 27)

A spooky time for the entire family as Houston’s citywide costume contest and Halloween celebration unfolds. There will be prizes, candy, music and more!

Halloween Monster Mayhem

Get in on a scary good time at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Trick-or-treating and experiments with monstrous matters await you. There’s also a Monster Mash where you can wander ghoulishly to some terrifying tunes and enjoy a Thriller Dance Party. Monster Mayhem is now through October 31st. Trick-or-treating is on weekdays 4 PM – 6 PM and Thursdays and weekends from 4 PM – 8 PM.

National Museum of Funeral History

Through November 4th, the museum offers up a haunted house for adults and kids ages 12 and up;  or come out on October 28th to visit the museum’s 10th Annual Halloween Car Show.

Monster Mash Halloween Spooktacular

On October 31st, The Square at Memorial City Mall will hold a kid-friendly ball from 5 PM to 7 PM. Wear your costume to trick-or-treat and enjoy music from Beetlejuice DJ.
