CBS legal executive Hayley Geftman-Gold is no longer with the network following her comments on Facebook that she is ‘not sympathetic’ to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting.

Geftman-Gold’s comment was made with rapid backlash as she also wrote: “country music fans often are Republican gun toters.” Referring to Republicans in Congress, Geftman-Gold also wrote, “”If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing.”

CBS issued a statement following Geftman-Gold’s comments in which the network called her remarks unacceptable and a violation of company standards: “This individual, who was with us for approximately one year, violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee of CBS. Her views as expressed on social media are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS. Our hearts go out to the victims in Las Vegas and their families.”
